Since late 2017, we have engaged all employees at Comprend in discussion to become an equal company. This is now resulting in a Manifesto for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
On Monday 28 May, we got the joyful result that Comprend – alongside sister agencies Hallvarsson & Halvarsson and Jung – was ranked in the top 10 most equal agencies in the advertisement & communications sector in Sweden (read more about it below). But this is only one piece of the puzzle.
Our work towards becoming an equal company will not end there. This is a continuous process, where we need to always be aware and make the necessary adjustments along the way.
Since late 2017, we have engaged all employees in discussion, and this is now resulting in a Manifesto for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. At Comprend, we find it important to celebrate the good things we accomplish, so before summer starts, both our offices will enjoy a Manifesto Release Party!
One of Comprend's core value words is PROUD. Because we are proud of what we do, and we are proud of each other. Another of our core value words is TOGETHER.
Combining PROUD and TOGETHER is logical and so, celebrating Pride Month is important to us. We strongly believe in everyone’s equal rights, value and opportunities, so we have decided to manifest our support for the Pride movement by making our logo rainbow coloured all through June.
Guldvågen is an annual competition that awards the Swedish communications industry's most equal workplace, meaning a workplace that rewards talent, sets salaries and gives space for development regardless of gender. The goal is for the communications industry to become as modern as possible, and for everyone to feel that they progress in their careers and work in a pleasant environment.
Working with the application for Guldvågen and also answering the #sistabriefen have been some of the bigger steps we have recently taken in the process to become more equal.
This year, 46 agencies competed for the Guldvågen award. As previously mentioned, we were three agencies from the H&H group to make it in the top 10. At Comprend, we decided to take part in the competition primarily to understand where we rank on the scale we are compared to our peers. We are now looking forward to getting the full report and its valuable insights, which will help us prioritize the areas to focus on going forward.
